Our offered product vision is highly concerned for quality & customer satisfaction and for that we bring an economy range of Synchro Transmitter & Receiver which is simply unmatched for its quality. Synchro Transmitter & Receiver is made up of finest quality raw material to ensure the accurate performance at every level. Subsequently, we have carved a niche for ourselves as one of the principal Synchro Receiver Exporters from India. ELE- 1 INTRODUCTION It is a prime requirement from any electrical engineer that he must have a good knowledge of operational principles and performance characteristics of both Alternating and Direct Current rotating machines. Electrical engineering laboratories in most of the ITIs polytechnics, Engineering colleges and IITs in India are no doubt, well equipped with basic and sophisticated machines and also with highly qualified teachers. In spite of these facilities it is a common experience of both the teachers and students that they find it extremely difficult to understand and digest the basic concepts of construction and functions of electrical machines. It is also a fact that more we have sophisticated machinery more it is difficult to teach and understand basic principles. It has been therefore a long felt need to have a simple wide range experimental machine and that too at very reasonable cost so that students can safely play with it and study basic principles of electrical engineering. our “ELECTRICAL MACHINE TUTOR” does exactly this job. The company designers thought over this need and they studied products developed by countries like U.S.A., U.K. etc, and come out with ELECTRICAL MACHINE TUTOR for the students of electrical engineering. It is useful for assemblies of more than 20 types of electrical machines. Playing with “EMT”gives confidence in the minds of students and it helps them to learn constructional details and to evaluate machines in the field. MAIN COMPONENTS OF EMT 1) Variable speed D.C. Motor. 2)Main tutor unit. 3)Friction brake Dynamometer. 4)Meter panel. 5)Power supply unit. Main tutor unit having different components as shown in figure. Mainly it consists of base plate, salient pole stator, Wound stator, bearing blokes, and shafts with two types of rotors, brush gears etc. By using appropriate components as mentioned in manual, following assemblies are possible VARIABLE SPEED DC MOTOR WITH SPEED CONTROL UNIT To provide the mechanical drive required for the generator assemblies, DC shunt motor is used. The motor shaft speed can be varied smoothly between 0 to 3000 rpm , by controlling armature voltage. The noncontact type proximity pick up is used for speed sensing. Speed control unit along with speed indicating meter is provided on meter panel. The motor can be coupled with a simple flexible coupling. MAIN CONTROL UNIT 1) Tutor assemblies contain component parts such as shaft, coils, pole pieces, stator, brush gear etc. which can be easily assembled and dismantled. 2) There are two stators, one with salient poles and coils for concentrated winding and other stator are with distributed winding in slots. 3) One rotor consists of salient poles with two coils, commutator and sliprings for DC and synchronous machines experiments.. For induction motor experiments, a separate, dynamically balanced rotor and a centrifugal switch are provided Both fixed position brush gear and rotable brush gear sets are provided. Centrifugal Switch: A centrifugal switch is provided for use with single-phase induction motor assembly. Wire links Wire links with pins at ends are supplied sufficient in number for easy Connections Rotatable Brush Gear:- Brush holders are fitted to carrier, which can be rotated in either direction. Required angular setting can be set on the scale fixed to the carrier. The rotatable brush gear can be may be used to demonstrate commutation in DC motors and generators and also can be used as a means of controlling the speed and direction of AC repulsion motor. Friction Brake Dynamometer Primarily as a means of measuring the mechanical outputs of the motor assemblies, this unit can be set to provide range of load torque for either direction of shaft rotation. METER PANEL A separate panel is fitted with following meters for voltage, current and shaft speed measurements. Resistence, capacitances are fitted inside the meter panel and their terminals are brought out. A loading rheostat is supplied separately. 1. Voltmeters (Digital): 2 nos 2. Ammeters (Digital): 3 nos 3. Speed indicating meter (Digital). 4. Three loading resistence and three capacitances. POWER SUPPLY UNIT The unit consists of two independent, isolated, DC/AC supplies of1 -135 volts with overload protection Using two independent dimmerstats. It contains over current protection and is fitted with an accessible emergency stop button, indicating lamps, isolating and changeover switches for each supply. SERVICES REQUIRED 1) Single Phase power supply 230 V, 50 Hz. 2) Three Phase power supply 440 V, 50 Hz with three-phase auto transformer for three phase induction motor experiments. Space Required :- 2 m X 1 m. approximately INSTRUCTION MANUAL A manual is supplied which gives details of the apparatus and procedure of experiments. |
